Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we are currently taking on new patients and would be delighted to welcome you to the Hanham Dental family.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We can normally offer dental examination appointments within 7 days of a request. Treatment appointments can be longer appointments, and so the wait for usually between 14 to 21 days.

How much does a a check up cost?

Here is a link to our current price guide (LINK HERE) Before any treatment is carried out, you will have a fully costed treatment plan for your approval before anything is carried out.

Can I get an emergency appointment today?

We always have spaces reserved for dental emergencies that are booked on a first come first serve basis. Most dental emergencies are seen within 24 hours of contact.

Am I suitable for Invisalign?

Most orthodontic cases can be treated with Invisalign! Our Diamond Invisalign provider Dr Kate Rowe can assess your smile and show you on a state of the art scanner what your smile can look like after treatment, and discuss your treatment process. In the unlikely event that Invisalign isn’t suitable, Kate can review your other treatment options.

Is tooth whitening harmful to my teeth?

When tooth whitening is carried out under the supervision of a dentist, it is a safe way to brighten your smile.

Why are my gums are bleeding?

Gums can bleed due to may things, but the most common cause is the presence of plaque and scale, leading to inflammation of gums. If left unchecked, this can progress to gum disease which can lead to eventual tooth loss. We would recommend an appointment with our dentist to diagnose the reason for the bleeding, give some advice on how to manage it and it may be necessary to see our lovely hygienist for an appointment to rectify the issue.

When should my child first see the dentist?

We would advise bringing children in to attend when you have your checkups as early as possible, so they can get used to the sights and sounds in the treatment room. Most children will allow an examination around 18 months. We will see and treat the children of our regular attending patients for free up until the age of 18.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we do offer payment plans that can help spread out the cost of treatment. If you would like to explore this, please get in touch with a member of our reception team who can talk you through it.
